  • Greenhouse shading

Folks i have a small roll (15ft) of greenhouse shading but for some reason one of those shed mice from last year has decided to chew into it. I can salvage some but am looking at getting more.
I need to cover the roof of 2 greenhouses. Both are 8 feet wide and 1 is 12 feet long whilst the other is 8 feet long. I had them sited in a shady area until the garden revamp but now they are fully exposed and roasting. Can anyone recommend an Amazon product suitable to cover both roofs? I posed the question to my computer and it suggested "Aluminet" which seems to be silver and i was hoping for green. Has anyone used this product?

I use debris netting to shade my GH it seems to do the job just fine.
You may be able to get some free or cheap from scaffolders.
    Location....East Midlands.

Good idea Bren, i may be able to get some of that but not in the next few days or so. Temps here in North Kent are soaring and like me the plants are suffering. I will most likely remove some glass tonight as the openers are at the fronts of the greenhouses. Ive had a butchers at Amazon at that product above and they are delivering tomorrow. if its not suitable then it'll be returned and I'll inquire further re your suggestion.
Other suggestions are welcome folks (except that white paint stuff). :-)

I have some of this on my greenhouse - works well https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IRC7GU0

It is slightly denser than scaffold net.

Had the Aluminet delivered and I've added it to the exterior with bulldog / binder clips. I have left 2 panes of glass out from both houses. The temperature is much lower in there now thankfully and i's more "see through" than expected.

If this shreds or breaks down then I'll look further into the scaffold mesh.
