    Probably just quicker, but I find it easier as I'm less likely to get the seeds cold and too wet whilst waiting for them to germinate. You can often pick up the 'seed tray' sized heated props for about a £10, ours was a double size one and cost £15 ages ago.

      I have some peppers and aubs showing already after only sowing them 3 days ago, I just love my heated prop....

        How do you folks who sow such things this early maintain high enough light/temp levels post-germination to keep them growing on?
