    It was a generic 12v diaphragm pump, something like 4-5 litres per minute. Cost about fifteen quid. Should work fine with an X hose as long as the pump can push enough pressure to expand it, mine does with normal hose fittings but I haven't tried the expanding type. Might be worth testing before you commit to the full setup.

      Update.... I took the "plunge".

      I used this thing in image one .....

      to warm up image number two.....

      which tickled a tiny hamster inside image three...

      and the hamster ran really fast making number 4 happen

      I used AI on the computer as i'm not savvy at all with electrics and this was a first attempt. Not bad for a novice! 4000ltrs to use now

        I used AI to build my system after ordering the panel, battery and charge controller (along with many other bits and bobs). I posed the X Hose question in AI and it was a definite No No as my pump pushes 70psi the hose will continue to expand until it popped.
