  • Trial with forgotten potatoe

I grow these early potatoes last year, unfortunately due to circumstances we did not get the opportunity to use them , I put them into a bag and stored them in a cupboard and forgot about them, I came across them today and as you can see the potatoes have sprouted creating quite a tangel, I have cut the shoots back to their first spur? and also put the potatoes into a basin of water as they're quite wizened , don't know if they will be suitable for planting but they definitely won't grow in a storage bag

i did this once with potato that looked like shriveled raisins
the results were about average for that variety. given they
were planted late i got the benefit of a late crop.turns out
you can relay plant potatoes like many other crops.
