what size is you veg growing area?
my spot before I retired from gardening was 2500 square foot.only
1500 was edibles and the other 1000 was large pumpkins,squash
and ornamental corn.if ever i get new plot i will likely be 600
square foot.

My allotment is 5 rods/125sqm, which I initially thought huge but now I find myself sometimes running out of space. Not sure what this is in ft.
About a third is perennials and fruit bushes.

15 rods, so one full plot and I nabbed the half plot on the end of the row when those tenants left. Plenty for fresh seasonal eating for me and Mrs G, a good amount to freezing, and a bit of sharing as regards the non-freezables

Grow-able areas for my plot will be in the region of 1400 square feet I think. No idea what that is in Rods, Acres, Fathoms or Bushels.
Comprising of 2 greenhouses equaling 20 x 8 feet, a spare bed which may become cold frame area 8 x 4, ground level areas of 20 x 24 / 23 x 10 / 15 x 12 / 24 x 10. The latter area is going to be divided into a 2 x 24 border with a deck area and inquiring tomorrow about 3 raised beds from recycled plastic to go on the remaining 8 x 12 feet. I have installed a lot of paving too and i must do a tally on the paved area. This may frighten me.....but we need paths / access. I'll add some photo's later in the year to the forum as it still looks like a building site.
