I have finally started sowing seeds, a week later than last year.
Aubergines - tsakoniki, black beauty, bonica, baby black jack and white knight.
Sweet peppers - pillar sweet trio, sweet chocolate and lipstick red.
Chillies - lemon dream and Trinidad perfume.

Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
Always aim for the best result possible not the best possible result

I have sown some lettuce seed some in a compost grit mix and some in a leafmould grit mix, they are in a poly tunnel in the greenhouse with no heating
it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

The first of the Pepper Cubanelle seeds sown 08 Feb has finally started to sprout today - they're taking their time! No sign of the broadies yet but 100% of my Cucumber Mini Munch suddenly have quite long sprouts this morning so I must get those into compost today.

All of the chillis and peppers sown on 30th January have had some germination except some of last year's saved Lemon Drops. Conditions are far from ideal, even in the dining room because we run the house between 15° and 18°C.

Parsley's romping away, Genovese Basil's romping away, Bush Basil's poor, but I only need one good plant of each now I'm growing it in 12-15" pots.

            Sowed the tomatoes today.

100% germination on the Cucs so they got put into compost on Thursday. A couple of sprouts on the Pepper Cubanelle finally so they'll get potted over the next few days (waiting for it to stop raining to grab some pots) & the broadies are starting to crack their cases.

Today I put some Summer PSB to chit.

At the beginning of the week a pinch of mixed lettuce seeds. It might be a bit too cold and damp at night for them just yet.

Put some peas to chit, I'll try them in a seed snail, and a few tomato seeds (sow by 2022 ).

Not many came through so today I’ve re-sown using newer seeds.
