What I did today 2026

General weeding. Finally dug out the burdock that was really starting to take up too much space. I think I actually managed to get it all. Let's see if it comes back next year.
Also planted out a few more leeks and the final butternut squash.

Finally got round to planting my greenhouse toms and cucumbers.

Busy day but I still managed an hour of weeding the driveway.
Feeling very chuffed because OH burned off the weeds a few times earlier on in the year but also included the wild strawberrieswhich only seem to want to grow in the gravel if the driveway- just where we drive in
Anyway….they are doing better than ever after that burning!..yippee….(I thought they were clumps of small dandelions from a distance so it was a lovely suprise.

( can’t say the same though for the grape hyacinth which were utterly frazzled at the same time ) pah
