I recently harvested mine and found quite a few small cloves about a quarter inch wide.

    Is it worth planting them?

They call those corms. Apparently they will form a large-ish single bulb the first year after planting, then split into cloves on the second year.

      Thanks, I'll pot them up.

They'll be dormant at the moment. Wait until late September. Just store somewhere cool and dry for now.

Also, corms have very thick skin, and apparently people have better results with them if they peel a small amount of the skin away first before planting, to allow water to penetrate better.

Noted with thanks. Due to ill health and other pressing needs I have got it right by default!
