                  • No cucumbers today, which is good. Parsley for the leek & potato soup. A courgette.

The first 500g of Morello cherries. I think I've worked how to tell if they're ripe:- the stems start to go from green to orange/brown. I'll keep going every day or so from now on.
Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                      • 202g of blueberries all for me! Fruit bush nets are fantastic! It was someone on here, though not this thread, who mentioned having some. A big thank you to whoever that was!

                        • A rather large bowl of black cherries.
There are loads on the tree but all out of reach
They’ve started to show signs of rotting- even the unripe ones. Must be because of the warm/ baking and wet conditions over the last few days.

Probably the same amount left which is just in reach with ladders ( where’s that Rary when you need him…he’s the expert up ladders )
