The last of the carrots, and some kale (well, kale flower buds, anyway).

I don't normally post here, as you all do so much better than me. But I'm dead pleased with my caulis at the moment. Sorry if this comes across as showing off but I thought I'd contribute for once. The heads alone (no leaves) weigh around 3 kg apiece.

It is. There is something about the success of growing a cauliflower. I was the same when I grew them for the first time last year. Well done.

The Kale are sending out flower shoots, so harvesting those and leaves. Found a couple of leeks that survived the winter, some parsley.
Got the basis of a minestrone soup with some of last years tomatoes from the freezer.

As you can eat chickweed and dandilion leaves, I am going to claim those as a harvest as well... my best growing greens, just they only made it as far as the compost heap not the kitchen let alone my plate.

OH harvested loads of wild garlic leaves and has made two different types of pesto for freezing

I was cutting back sage yesterday, so I now have cuttings I hope will root and also some leaves drying for my herb cupboard.

My first ever psb. Was tasty and looks like lots more to come. Quite chuffed.

My first picking of rhubarb. I probably could have picked it a couple weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to it.

It’s mostly been lettuce for lunchtime sandwiches.

Today chard and oregano for this evenings soup.
