When shops sell their plants, they’re not in the final pot size. Do you remember the variety? If you look earlier in the year, you might see that variety there. To have peppers on the plant,it must’ve been late summer you bought it,try in the spring for a good selection or grow from seed when we all sow in February. All my containers are at least ten inches for peppers,I grew sweet peppers in the ground once but it was too cold for them compared to a pot, they didn’t thrive & then slugs ate the main growing tips,I won’t do that again. In a container they’re safer (next to a French marigold as a slug trap).Location : Essex

My chillies and peppers are always grown in Co-op flower buckets so they have loads of root space, they tend to grow into HUGE plants and set bumper crops every time. I got them from one Co-op that left them out the back door for me over a number of weeks, ended up having over 100 and all for free as the Co-op tend to throw them into a skip going to landfill which is an absolute crime. The day that Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck ...
... is the day they make vacuum cleaners
