  • Compost heap snafu

    (don't worry - doesn't end badly)

While moving and turning compost from one bin to another I steadied myself on a corner upright, which promptly snapped off. I twisted round and fell backwards into the bin.

Picture a 75 year old man wedged in compost bin, in hi-viz boiler suit, with both arms and both legs pointing skywards. Like a beetle on its back.

I considered shouting for Mrs quanglewangle but she would only have fallen over laughing.
After a good 10 minutes of earnest wriggling I managed to get free.

Note to self: be more careful.
I live in a part of the UK with very mild winters. Please take this into account before thinking "if he is sowing those now...."

Oops... Glad you're OK, though. Those kinds of accidents can be very nasty.

Only happened because I want our compost to reach Bones standard

This is a very funny description. Thank you for the giggle and thank goodness you landed on compost and not concrete!
