  • I don't understand how you guys are still getting raspberries this time of year. Any soft fruit where I am is inedible after about mid-October, as it just starts going mouldy on the plant before it's even fully ripe.

    • I think it depends on the amount of time it rains for.
      The amount of fruit that rots appears to depend on the wet time and temperature.
      About a third of my fruit is rotting now.
      Near Worksop on heavy clay soil

          I find about a third of mine is rotting by mid to late September. By early October, it's over half, and by mid-October it's usually over 80%.
