Can I re-use this soil?

Hello,

Last year I failed with my veg growing and pretty much left my plants to die in the greenhouse in pots. Stuff was going on my life and I couldn’t tend to them.

Am I able to use the soil from these pots for this years veg plants? As the plants are all dead or do I need to use fresh soil?

I expect you will be fine reusing the compost as long as you add some slow release fertiliser granules to it.

I do this a lot, but I do try to swap between the type of plants. So if I use it for tomatoes last year I'd use that compost for cucumbers and other things but not tomatoes again.

Pretty much.
I always reuse my compost from the big patio tubs. I tip out the pots, mix it with about 25% new compost, add some poultry manure and some slow release fertiliser, and refill the pots.

I usually plant my lettuce and courgettes in buckets, troughs, containers so I do reuse my compost mixing in some from my Daleks then adding some Fish Blood and Bone.
