Can I still split my rhubarb? It now has lots of leaves.

You might be too late, years back we did it late in the year, let the frost get at it, then re-plant.

I would say it’s too late if it’s not dormant.
But , it’s not too late however to plant out a new variety which might compliment the picking time/ colour.....

Mine is just showing buds but must admit I prefer seed propagation - more surprises! Here's a happy pic of what's (hopefully) to come.

I've got 2 lots of seed to put in so heres hoping.

We put an old oil drum over ours a couple of weeks back and had our first pick yesterday. I'd say it's a bit late for this year.
