    There is absolutely nothing wrong with buying plants in - it is better to get strong healthy plants from a supplier than trying to cram too many under inadequate lighting when you don't have the space and ending up with leggy, weak seedlings.

    I routinely buy cauliflowers as plants, having tried on numerous occasions to grow them from seed, almost always ending in failure. The young plants just keel over and die, whereas the bought in ones grow.

      It’s not cheating however you start a plant, as long as you harvest something nice.

      I intended to to buy a selection of plug plugs last spring, but lock down and panic buyers put a stop to that.
      i managed with mostly old and out of date seed, as I had not got round to fresh seed buying before you know what started.
