For those of you of a certain age ( old farts like me ) will remember a program called "Out of Town" which was a sort of Country file type thing but wasn't so political. Theres wasn't a lot of gardening on there but the presenter (Jack Hargreaves) did have some little gems occasionally, one being this ... his home made worm bin the bottom one has no floor in and the others had a floor with holes in and the lid is solid. the spacers were 2"x2" square fided to the bottom of the bins.

Boxes made from old floor boards.
Cover the bottoms with Hessian sacking
    Fill with humic rich material

I really loved Jack Hargreaves...I was addicted to the TV series ‘How’

We’ve not been successful with wormeries over here - our summers seem to bake them alive
Brill idea though for cooler climes!..Recycled palets seem an obvious choice too !
