It's not unusual for older leaves to to develop yellow tips, depends how bad they are. Don't know where abouts you are, maybe they'd benefit from planting out. With sunshine and cold wind forecast the small cells holding our Golden Bear were likely to dry out too easily so we planted them out last week and covered with Enviromesh. Onions are pretty hardy.

Planted out 9 Alisa Craig under a cloche on the plot for a bit of extra protection as some sub zero nights coming up. I needed the space and they were growing quite strongly So I think they will be fine. Fingers crossed.

Planted out my Red Onions into their raised bed for the summer, here's hoping, most look quite strong.

All our onions seem to have survived the recent cold snap. Have now been placing extra bricks etc round the edges of the Enviromesh in readiness for the allium miner which usually appears late April / early May.
