It’s raining non stop at the mo,I put a teepee up the other day for my runner bean plant from last year that’s regrown with two shoots. I’ve been hardening up this years runner beans & will plant them soon with the sweetcorn. I’ve planted seven tomato plants need to plant the rest & the sweet peppers. Plant out the courgettes,squash & the rest of the cucumbers,planted two so far. Plant out geraniums,petunias,cosmos. Prune the forsythia. Plant more potatoes,ten containers so far I don’t know if I have space. Sow more carrots,peas,lettuce,cucumbers & nasturtium. Thin the grapes,remove leaves shading the fruit. Thin plums & prune. Thin more apples,check the pears. Mow front & back lawns,the grass has seed heads,really long,weeding out the front & cut the seed heads off the nettle check if there’s any caterpillars.

A notice has gone up outside the allotment saying no parking, waiting or loading between 15th - 30th June while there are road works. There are similar notices on other roads in the village, and I'm pretty sure this is due to painting double yellow lines everywhere. As I am running low on water and the current showery weather is doing little more than enabling me to not have to water that day, I am going to take some water down in the car this week to tide me over until the roadworks have finished.
