I think the issue was likely that the previous version of the forum software was at/past "End of Life" so no longer getting security updates etc. so becoming an increasing security risk.Originally posted by Shooter View PostSorry but not impressed if it ain't broke don't fix it
There does appear to be an ongoing issue with performance, but that was also the case on the old version and comes and goes.

Yes I find this with other sites. The update for the Met office made a good format much worse. It used to give all the info I wanted on one screen, not now though. and there is no new data so why did they do it? Same with this. It is the performance issue that is the problem. no other site I visit is so bad. I will probably com back occasionally to see if it is fixed but can't be doing with it on a regular basis.Originally posted by Shooter View PostSorry but not impressed if it ain't broke don't fix it

They should fix the performance as that is most critical to users. I worked in IT for 40+ years and that was my first concern above all else.
The the upgrade itself should be done on a test site and any bugs ironed out there before going live.

I hope you're right. At the moment it's even slower than the slowest I experienced on the old site. This thread took over 50 seconds to load on Chrome (at the 4th attempt).Originally posted by Jungle Jane View PostIt says at the top of the page we’re live with bugs, just have to wait for it to be fixed then we’ll all have a lovely time.
