You could plant them out now but if they are happy in their pots, you could wait til Spring has sprung - this is what I am doing and I have over 500 in pots at the moment, with several hundred more in water forming roots - these will also be put into pots before planting out in Spring. You will still get a decent crop.Rat

Music to my ears. I've got a few in pots under cover and far too much else to do apart from planting them outOriginally posted by sewer rat View PostYou could plant them out now but if they are happy in their pots, you could wait til Spring has sprung - this is what I am doing and I have over 500 in pots at the moment, with several hundred more in water forming roots - these will also be put into pots before planting out in Spring. Plus, we've already had our first hard frost the night before last and judging by how cold my feet are I reckon we're in for another one tonight...Warning: I have a dangerous tendency to act like I know what I'm talking about.

hi,im in the west mids, the sun is shining, think i will get my boots on and get it done, thanks for the replyOriginally posted by rustylady View PostWhere do you garden, Dirtyknees? Assuming you're not frozen in yet I would plant out the strawberries now. Keep an eye on them, but they should establish OK at this time of year and you may even get a small crop off them next year.
