Should you use heat when sprouting these seed on damp paper or not.
Don't have much in the way of windowsills in my house, but I have a propogator with a lid, on top of my boiler - the propogator's not otherwise heated but sitting at about 60, would this be too warm?
Don't want to cook them
Thanks

They'll be fine without direct heat and they don't need light at this stage. And they can be sown direct where they are supposed to grow. They might need a bit of protection later in the year when it gets really cold. Your only worry at the moment might be pigeons who will nibble the tops once they emerge so a bit of netting or the holly leaves trick will be a good idea.Originally posted by crazy_red View PostShould you use heat when sprouting these seed on damp paper or not.
