I am growing Senshyu and Fi Hi Keeper from seed and from sets I've put in 100 Troy, 100 Red Cross and 100 Radar. I have no idea what's best as this is my first year can anyone tell me what to expect from that lot I'd be grateful.

With your potatoes high yield matters but I have found you need to get a variety that is also slug resistant.
Otherwise you have lots of potatoes but they all have holes in them and you lose half the potato cutting them out.

Thats why I'll be growing Kestrel 2nd early again next year! Big cropper of large tatties and slug and blight resistant!
Desiree(I know it's boring!) for maincrop and probably Duke of York 1st early.
I grow a few onions from sets but prefer to grow the majority from seed as there's more selection.
