Are fresh French bean seeds edible?

    i always blanch young beans. shred them into stips and plunge into boiling water for 4 minutes. lovely!

    As for mature beans i wouldn't eat them as a side dish so yes 10 mins of boiling/direct heat should do the trick. For any beans in Chilli/sauce throw them in 10 mins before the end and let the sauce continue to reduce.

      Cheers!!My problem was more that the kiddies had shelled the lot(dried & fresh)altogether popping them in the same bowl!!~Other than trying to sort them through decided best bet was to soak the lot!!Shall keep a closer eye on them next year!!
