Not sure if I'm doing this right, so I'm hoping someone on here will be able to advise me. This year I grew some lovely purple french climbing beans (Kew Blue) and I wanted to save some of the seeds to grow on next year. I've left them on the plant and they've gone kind of papery. Do I take the seeds out of the papery pod now, or leave em in there till I'm ready to sow next year?

Take the papery pods off and leave them on some newspaper in the sun indoors (dining room table is all but unusable here at this time of the year!) When they get really crispy you can shell them out and keep them somewhere safe - labelled! Well done. My Kew Blues for seed are still on the vines which have now just started flowering again!Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
