Wilting seedlings

My winter brassica seedlings have come up quickly but are now looking rather wilty.
I am concerned that they may be too hot in the greenhouse? It is reaching 35 - 40 degrees during the day. Would the seedlings be better off outside?
I had thought of putting the trays in the finished pea bed with a net over, to keep out the nasties. They would still be in the sun but with a bit of a breeze too. The bed they will go into is still full of spuds at the moment. I know that brassicas don't want to be too wet but the soil dries out in minutes in the greenhouse...
Any suggestions??

Personnally I'd put them outside.you can sow brassicas straight into ground so wouldn't think they need to be in a greenhouse!All the best.

Be warned though. Mine did the same, but as soon as I put them outside they flopped and died - well, most of them.

I've still got some in the greenhouse, but they're at the very bottom - in the shade. They look much healthier.

Started mine in modules in greenhouse. Hardened off for a few days by putting out during day and in at night on the staging evicted from green house to make way for cukes and melons. Out all the time until weekend when we planted inside cage. They weren't protected so have got a bit munched but are still healthy. Hopefully now they are protected in cage they will have loads of healthy growth to replace damaged leaves. The staging was under the pear tree so shaded for part of day.

Well they are outside, in their trays with a net over. I shall bring them in to the greenhouse once the temperature has cooled a bit!
I did have them in the shade in the greenhouse - but they have got rather leggy...
I think they will be happier outside.

At this time of year brassicas only need to be under cover to keep an eye on them. They don't need extra heat and will do much better outside (maybe protected with mesh or net curtains to keep pests off). They really don 't need (or want) to be in a greenhouse - these are hardy plants.
