Neither have mine But a dwarf HSL variety called Brightstone with similar pod marking but a slimmer pod, is doing really well

Erm...Peas are ok raw, aren't they . Cos most of mine didn't make it back to the kitchen, that is half for me and half for the damn pidgeons.

I cant help you but can you look at my problem please as you seem to be a experienced type - i dont understand blogs why do some people get millions of hits and others dont get looked at perhaps you can advise me on that too!!! posted today at 8.50 am ish Sweet corn baffling me. I suppose what I have just done is probably not good blog protocol or something but I will revert to ambush to get answers.

Maybe I just hit a borlotti soft spot in the grape community! Or perhaps it was the use of the word 'whip' in the title...maybe that gets the forum rocking!! Can't help with your sweetcorn problem - gave up growing them after an unproductive 2007 and decided to grow pretty beans instead

Hi, looking forward to next year already - saw Hugh Fearnley Whitingstall eulogising over Borlotti(o) beans.
Problem - despite global warming - we find it hard to grow french beans well up here in Scotland, so that leaves the polytunnel.

Question - Are borlottis self fertile like other french bean types and therefore suitable for tunnel cultivation?
Thanks for any wisdom forthcoming.
