Hi
My carrots have been very poor. If they have survived the slugs, they're been very small and the ones big enough to eat have been pale and flavourless. I presume it's due to the lack of sun? How are your carrots?

These are in my raised bed (very deep with good top soil). I have a second lot sewn around May in a container filled with multipurpose(yet to see what these are like... tops OK) and I've just sewn more two weeks ago in my second raised bed. A good depth to the soil seems to help, but providing you follow the basic rules (environmesh, deep, free draining soil etc.) I think the rest is down to luck.....certainly so in my case as I don't really know much about it
or maybe the type of carrot
