Probably the size Bren,I am growing Cremee de Noire (very similar to black russian) & they are about the size of a small fist

I am growing the Cremee de Noire too BB, but you already knew that didn't you? I'm also growing Black Russian and I was very disappointed with them a few months ago as they were leggy and weak. Not any more - they have fruits the size of apples. Can't wait for them to ripen

I grew them about 10 years ago. Interesting was the word, but I found them disappointingly bland. I like a bit of acidity to balance the sweetness in a tom.

we grow them in tubs in the greenhouse,we find the longer ripening times because of cooler temps seem to suite them,the flavour develops gradually,ideally suited for this area,todays outside temp is 13deg,so its slowly slowly catchee monkey,or dont fight the climate,use it..
