  • Barlotta bean problem

    Hi

My Barlotta beans (climbing) have been OK till now, but after a couple of days of rain and some strong winds they are looking very poorly
They are around 20 cm and just starting to try and climb, but now most of the growing tip, leaves and leaf stems are shrivelled.

Any thoughts for this new plotter ???

What a shame Pete. We had the same wind and rain - think everyone did. This looks like weather damage to your beans so if it is, hopefully , as soon as the weather improves the beans will be on their way again.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

      Pete
My beans (climbing French and Runner) escaped being flattened by the last couple of days wind (unlike large parts of my garden) by virtue of the fact that they are halfway up their wigwams and have a good grip. However, the leaves are identical to yours but as Alice says, they will come good so no need to

I wouldn't worry too much Pete. Mine looked the same a month or so ago and have bounced back really well. Perhaps give them a feed if you feel the need.
