companion planting

Hello, now that everthing is taking off in the greenhouse and getting ready for planting outside, I am looking to find help or a chart to show whats best to plant with what in the veg beds ie companion planting. Any advice will be helpful.

Second year running I have put my onions and garlic all over the garden - so that when other things go in they are never too far away from nice smelly stuff supposedly beans dont like them so theyre the furthest away....however allegedly you should growyour aubergines near your beans ...and i've also just read/seen/ imbibed that parsley is good for asparagus which is useful as mine are in the same bed......

I've had success growing garlic and shallots alongside tomatoes - decent crop of toms even in rubbish soil!

I've been reading about 3 sisters planting for sweetcorn, peas and squash... sorry about the lack of link but google... sounds inntersting to me as a newbie!

I like carrots and onions together to confuse carrot / onion fly. I know it goes against most crop rotation schemes but, I reckon, if I always keep them together they both follow a true rotation anyway.

Marigolds and nasturtiums, for potatoes and runner beans, mainly because they deter the slugs from your veg. They are the slug equivalent of caviar., why have potatoes and beans when there's caviar on the menu!!!

Also try this one, I have been planning this year around companion planting, so that each side of the rows benefit each other.
