How would you cut through the rubber? Is it easy? (Showing how unpractical I am!) Magpie & I have loads of tyres that I got from the side of the road yesterday - painting them white sounds a good idea too.

A sharp stanley knife works well , but you may need to score through the rubber more than once. Watch your fingers though.
