Looking at that other site that Baldy has posted, if the Vine goes down I doubt if I would join it, to me it's not an easy to navigate as the Vine

There is a long list of things that can slow a forum down. One of the worst and most annoying is the hosting company. They throttle back forums that are not on there premium package especially in the daytime in the week. Random slowing down is a common symptom of this.
Most photo problems I have seen on forums in the past have been caused by mobile phone cameras randomly rotating the images. Here it would appear that the thumbnail display is playing up so that the file name is appearing instead.

Rary, just requires a little bit of effort and some of that gray matter we all have. Think of it like a new whiskey that has to be tasted to be savoured and enjoyed

Can, its more that looking at it, it just doesnt appeal to me, I like the format of the Vine and just between you and I (I don't want a certain auld bird to see this) at my age and when I am not really into computer technology I have more interesting things to do and you should know by now, if I had to pay for something that's to be savoured and enjoyed, it would be whisky, though if it was free yes I would try whiskey

I have just tried 5 times to get onto here - no idea whats going on with site at all, but the improvements appear to have made it worse sadly

I have also closed this thread apart from it being off topic, it is not in keeping with the forum, if people wish to leave, then that would be sad, but you cannot be expected to be allowed to promote another site in public on this one, that is clearly against the principles of the forum.
