Potato varieties

2 varieties I�ve ordered I�ve never heard of never mind grown.
All the well known varieties were sold out. I�m happy trying new varieties though. I�m even happier they still had pink fir apples. I love them.
Anyone have any experience growing/ eating
Violetta (looks very similar to purple majesty) or Sarpo kifli ( from description, all round good spud )

I have only grown the cousin sarpo Mira, always provides a heavy yield, and nice for roasting, mash or curry. Hopefully the kifli is as good too

Are the Sarpo varieties not grown for blight resistance? Or did I dream that?

Yeah I�m pretty sure it said blight resistant on the write up. Why? Is blight resistant a problem in other ways? New to blight resistant as well. Can you tell

We always grow Kifli. Blight resistant (though not blight proof), good new potato taste (even after storing) and store really well. Waxy spud good for boiling, roasting, wedges and light mashing/crushing (don't over mash or they turn into industrial paste).
Grew Purple Majesty one year, nice tasty spud but struggled to spot any that had been exposed to light (normal spuds go green).
