Carrots - one went wonky

Pulled a few carrots that have been grown in a 50/50 mix of MPC and coffee grinds. They are resistafly f1, they seem to have done well with the exception of one.

Any ideas why?

Totally agree. Just wish I could grow carrots as nice looking as those.

That would have been my guess, but... brand new raised bed with all MPC and coffee put through a riddle ( lost over 3/4 of a bag of MPC in bits to big/solid to riddle ). Checked the location of carrot and absolutely nothing there, which is whats confused me. No feed added either.

Aaarrrggghhh! My carrot flies can get 4 feet high, get through or under net and don't know they're supposed to not like resistafly. That's if my seeds germinate to begin with.

I stacked 2 pallet collars, then dug down 6” to remove the existing soil before filling in with 12” of the MPC/coffee mix. Covered with glass until 2” of growth, and then left em to it.

Still a while away up here from lifting any, but the tops look very luxuriant, I get the odd wonky ones and they are in stone free raised beds too.

The others were repressed and stood still. The other one... just ... had... to .... DANCE!
