    You are talking about hybridizing peppers and I am still trying to grow a decent plant, though I did manage to pull five peppers from a plant from seed I was given by Thelma last year
    it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

    Member of the Nutters Club but I think I am just there to make up the numbers

      Figure 2 on this page is quite an interesting read, showing how many generations and several back-crosses there were in producing the NuMex Spice Jalapenos range. I am growing Lemon Spice this year although the article says it's well adapted to the high temperatures and low humidity of New Mexico. Not sure it will be happy in the cold and rainy Pennines.
