  • I’ve got one of the Baccatum that’s ripening to orange. I’ve not tried it yet. It’s good to know its got some good flavour and heat. Thank you annie.

Not sweet. But only a very slight bit of heat.

      • Gone through all my remaining mystery chillies. I’ve lost 13 since potting on of seedlings. So out of the 53 I’ve got left.
        I’ve got 6 like this

I’ve got 5 cherry bomb, type
4 like yellow mushroom, but it isn’t because it’s red.

        Opinion on these 2 please.

This is definitely a C. baccatum what do you think.

The big yellow ones at the dock are sweet peppers. Not very sweet or nice, but no heat

          • Looking great. Am still getting a regular bit much smaller supply then you. Plenty of the black ones (bit of heat but quite bitter) and the pale yellow ones. All of the ones I’ve had so far have had a reasonable amount of heat which is good. I do have one that looks like a bell pepper though so imagining that won’t have any.

Hybrids or maybe a variety not listed in the seed packet contents? I just had a peek at their Facebook page and they mentioned isolating flowers (with tea bags) back in May.

Well getting a reasonable amount of chillis from the mystery plants now.

                  • One of the mystery chillis has produced fruit that looks just like a bell pepper. It has gone from green straight to yellow without going red first. I thought they always went to red first?

                    • Not if they’re yellow ones. They don’t have any red in them.
