Plant Progress and Greenhouse Advice

Are these still ok to sit on my windowsill or would they survive in the greenhouse. The weather is still quite cold but these are getting quite big now so not sure what to do.

Its too cold for the GH. I put mine out in the day and bring them in late afternoon.

Agree with VC on this one, too cold to stay out overnight currently. The cucumber is going to need potting on soon too by the look of it.

I'm huddled under a blanket because it's 13 degrees C in my house with the heating on, meanwhile you have a window open.

Maybe Welsh courgettes can't manage the greenhouse at this time of year, but Newcastle courgettes are made of tougher stuff? Sometimes stereotypes exist for a reason!

They look nice and healthy, so they don't seem to be coming to any harm where they are.

I'm too much a chicken to advise anyone to put their tender plants in the GH overnight yet. After all, if they died they might come after me with a chopper.

Thanks for advice. I did think it were to cold yet. I only opened the window for about 10 mins today but don't normally. I'll keep on windowsill until temps rise an will pot the Cucumber to a bigger pot tomorrow.

regarding anything tender tho, they come back in the house in the evening till temps are over ten c, ideally a touch higher.

In fact just dropped my toms up the greenhouse now att 11am and its only just over 10.5 c in there now, chilly.......

Yes to all of the above. Far to cold for tender plants.

However, I�m a rebel and do my own thing. Kept the Toms, Chillis and a Courgette in the heated propagator in greenhouse until too large. After potting on, just added heating to the greenhouse.
Never had the room in the bungalow . Now the boiler has died, the greenhouse is warmer the the home .

That's because the OP hasn't upgraded their Photobucket account to allow images hosted there to be shown elsewhere other than Photobucket.

The photos were there initially and they are very healthy plants. It would be a shame to lose them by putting them out in the cold.

Not even put seed into soil for courgettes, pumpkins and squash plants. My planner indicates week 4 of April and if planner says end April, end April it will be.
