Grapevines and greenhouses

So atm im contemplating growing a grapevine in my greenhouse but my worry is that it will cut out so much light as to be detrimental to my toms/chillis/cukes etc.
So does anyone manage to grow a grapevine and produce plenty of other produce in the same greenhouse ?

Mines about 10 foot x 8 btw.

I've got one in mine. It's dark now or I'd take a photo for you. I've been growing it since last summer 2015. It's in the corner and I've got it zigzagging across the roof. Training it into three spurs. Any bits I don't like I just cut off. So far it's actually shaded the roof but sun still gets through. I usually have to put gauze (old net curtains) on the roof in high summer as the sun burns through and scorched everything. I didnt this year as the vine was enough.

I used to have a vine - growing outside the GH and fed in through the corner of a pane of glass.
Maybe, if I'd pruned it properly it would have been OK, but it was too shady for the toms on the north side of the GH. The bunches of grapes were too high for me to thin them as I'm only lickle, so the garpes were always tiny - all pip and no grapey bit.
I've removed it and won't do it again.............although, I have planted 2 seedless vines in the netted GH!

Hmm, yes thats my worry VC. I have two outdoor vines on a south facing wall so dont know whether it would be worth the hassel and risk to my indoor growing.
I could try and grow it in a big pot though and keep it in check couldnt i ?, oh heck im so torn lol, please grape people, talk me into it but tell me me toms will be fine

In the greenhouse along with the vine in the bed underneath it I also grew physalis marigolds figs calendula nasturtiums hyssop. On the shelves I grew seedlings herbs and tomatoes. Everything grew well. The tomatoes I'd never tried before they were beefsteak ones. They grew huge and red but we're tasteless. This might have somerhing to do with the vine or with the variety I have no idea. I also grew normal tomatoes and they tasted fine!

Greenishfing grows grapes in a GH I think? I would be worried my tomatoes would be compromised my outdoor grape produces a huge amount of grapes...I really can't use them all. It's trained on a south facing wall.

If you've already got 2 outdoor vines Jack, I wouldn't bother. Just concentrate on your toms.

My outside ones havent produced yet though , this will be their third season so fingers crossed ive pruned right

I have a vine in my tunnel, it is doable if you keep the plant in check!





My Tomatoes happily grow beneath then unaffected!

Here! VC! It's when it gets to the back end of the season and they drop on my path that does my head in!
