Wish I lived nearer I would of snapped it up. Have you freecycled or freegle it yet? I know a lot of gardeners use it or look at it.

I suppose unless you live around here, most people won't have heard of sunk island, but "East Yorkshire" would have been a better description...

I think it's more a case of someone on here that lives close enough. It's a shame, i'dtake it off you in an instant if you lived closer. Perhaps you could try your local freecycle?

I live across the river from Grimsby, but for my (numerous) sins, I drive a lorry on long-distance so I'm away all week.

Free to good home - GH East Yorkshire
Hello all.
Apologies if this in the wrong area, feel free to move.
I've a recently started project that's just become surplus to requirements, due to a very kind near-neighbour. I was in the process of grafting my Dad's "old" ally-framed 6 x 6 glass greenhouse onto my 6 x 4 polycarbonate g/house to make a 10 x 6 when said neighbour gave me her unwanted 12 x 8 greenhouse. Apart from a few new panes of glass and a good fettle, it's in almost perfect condition. To say I'm chuffed to little mint balls is an understatement!!
With regards the project, the ally greenhouse is complete, apart from about half of the glass, and my Dad altered the door from sliding to hinged. The poly house is intact, apart from a couple of panels that were damaged in the last high winds that we had. For the price of some new glass, it would make a great project.
If anyone can use it and can collect, it's sat waiting midway between Hull and Spurn Point. Apologies for not much info, I'm en-route to a wind farm in the Scottish Highlands and don't have much spare time.
