Hi

Bought one of the above from ebay, local stores didnt have one; its built and seems ok. I only bought it to protect from frost in my small garden. Are they ok in the wind, just placed one brich near the bottom shelf.

If so, nope it isn't very wind proof, I know through bitter experience
If you can, you should tie it down or put a big full bag of compost in the bottom.
If they stay upright though, they are very good.

Yes, just like that one. It is close to my house, sheltered half way by a wall. I might put another brick in there, it wont take up too much space.

I don't know where you live but unless you live where there is no wind two bricks will not be enough to hold it. I had one before my GH and had it tied to the fence and weighed down wiht lead blocks, I still lost it in a gale.

Weight it down!

In the great winds of January, mine rolled over, bounced and did the hokey cokey all the time. Now has five or six bricks weighing it down. The wendy house also toppled over, and now has broom handles in the four corners plus guy ropes and tent pegs as well.

Hi FG, I agree with the other posters, you definitely need to weigh it down more, I put a concrete slab on the bottom and a lighter one in the middle so you dont lose shelf space but you get the weight, year before last was my first year of proper growing a lost every seedling when the whole lot fell over, mine, as with yours was close to the house and, i thought, sheltered but it wasnt, so i had to start again! forewarned is forearmed eh!

It won't give you much protection, if any. It's only made of clingfilm really.

Don't put anything frost-tender in it, but of course use it for hardier things to give them a little extra protection, ie use it as a cold-frame, not as a greenhouse

I had my trays on one long shelt under my window before, so this takes up less space. I will put some more bricks in, but some of the windy weather we have had, would have blown houses away.
