You could move in there Snadge (that's if she ever throws you out, which I doubt). Well done it looks great.

            Hi Terry

Your best bet is to visit youtube and type in gas bottle burner.

Mine isn't like any of these, but this is the second one I've made so I made a few improvements.

Mine is made from the biggest propane bottle you can get, has an offset flue to allow for a top filler/kettle boiler.
The flue is made from a length of cast iron 'stench pipe' which the snow brought down last year at my house and I replaced it with plastic.

The main part I would highlight is safety! After venting, screw off the brass valve on the top and fill the tank with water. Use an angle grinder with cutting blade and cut into the water filled tank. It helps if you've got access to welding gear but rivetted or bolted hinges would be an alternative.
I had it stoked up last night to burn the paint off the flue and the whole stove was 'glowing'. Sat 3 foot away at first, then 5 foot........then I had to sit at the other end of the greenhouse as I couldn't bear the heat!

You mean you've never made allotment broth before AP? Don't know what you're missing!

Here's one I made a while ago, bubbling away on my earlier homemade stove!

Maybe I need to install a 'spit' then!

Thanks a lot Snadge. I do believe I might have ago at building something like it. Just for fun as I don't grow anything tender in my greenhouse over winter.
Watch you don't end up with heat exhaustion.

                              regards
