But how often do you need to crawl under it?:...........plant up....cover with net......lift net once to do a bit of weeding.........lift net finally to harvest brassica.
I reckon I could grow brasicas for the rest of my life in one of these and still never come anywhere near to recooping the original cost. It would also need re-positioning each year if you wanted to rotate your crops?
I have had debri netting three years and it is now starting to rot so I would imagine you would also have to factor in the cost of a recover every now and again.

I'm not convinced it's worth it either, you're bound to let a butterfly in by accident or is that just me. I have gradually bought sufficient enviromesh to cover my brassicas which are framed with a combination of bamboo and plastic canes with those little plastic balls at the corners (tennis balls would have been even cheaper) and it works great, can just unpeg when I need to and reach in. Each cage is about 4" ish high and works really well. The oldest mesh is on it's fifth year and is still perfect and easy to move.
