A neighbour has offered me the use of his 110ft polytunnel which has been lightly used for a number of years. It is totally covered in weeds, but only lightweight dandelions and such as they have been rotovated lightly each year. He has suggested I sterilise the soil with some nasty sounding chemical, but as it has only been lightly used for a number of years I would imagine any build up will have subsided by now. The plastic is on its last legs but wil survive another winter I think. Where do I start? Do I need to sterilise? Should I pile on the muck? How is it best to get rid of weeds? ANy info most welcome. adam
