    Hi

Has anyone got any ingenious ways of collecting water from a polytunnel?

We've just bought a second hand 45 foot polytunnel frame for our allotment which has no mains water- this is ok for the rest of the plot as we've got several water butts that collect from a decent sized greenhouse and shed roof, but we're a bit worried about having enough water for the tunnel.

I read something in a mag a while ago about a guy who put some sort of piping into the trenches that you dig for the cover and collected the water into underground tanks, but it was a bit vague, so I'm hoping someone might have done something similar?

    Any advice gratefully received

If you can solve this one you'll make a fortune!

How about burying a water butt or two & then using a hand pump (like the type you'd use on a boat for bilge water) to pump it up
