Chervil

I just planted some chervil at the lotty, and was wondering if anyone has any advice about it? I'm just waiting to be honest, i've never even tried eating it before, its a bit of an experiment.

I have some growing in pot on patio, don't know what it's like either I 'm afraid, it 'looked nice', so I bought it.

I sowed some in the autumn as it stays green all winter and so is a good winter salad herb, but I can't say I'm all that thrilled with the flavour. Perhaps it's an acquired taste. It's just beginning to throw up a flower stalk now so I'll leave it to do its own thing for now. Perhaps it tastes different when cooked?

I had some last year. Grows quite big, but an annual.

We still have ours in the ground from last year...

Goes nice in potato soup instead of parsley

Awesome with scrambled eggs. Kind of like a mild tarragon.
use as you would parsley or coriander. Had it in salad tonight. Yum. I'm never without it.

I'm actually growing Tarragon as well, even though I've never tried it. It's just getting to the point now where i'd feel comfortable nipping a bit off to try, but i'd rather err on the side of caution!
