    Clumps can be easily divided in early spring

      Is it too big, or do you just want more of it? Oregano generally roots really easily from cuttings (in water)

          My golden oregano spreads and roots itself easily. I pull up bits, often unintentionally whilst weeding, and there is usually a root attached. Stick it in a pot and away it goes. That's any time of the year when it is in leaf. Have a rootle around and see if you can find any obvious off shoots and sever those.
