Hi Rowanberry, not exactly the west coast but Nairn is beautiful and maybe you could make a holiday of it.

Plants with Purpose (plantsandapples.co.uk) run courses. I know they have run courses in the community garden in Toryglen, Glasgow (urbanroots.org.uk)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions Shobna that link looks good still a bit far but I have signed up for the newsletter so thanks for the link ,Ananke will definately be saving up to go on the the course in Nairn come the summer and Frostfreckle this is sounds very promising it is not far from me so I will be lokking into this thanks again
