  • Overwintering herbs?

I have 2 18" long terracotta pots with some nice herbs in, including parsley and chives.
    I have a small blowaway 4foot x 2foot where i grew my tomatoes.
Can i put herbs in there? will they survive and will I need to water?

I don't grow parsley but chives are fine left out. I'd be more concerned about the pots cracking if they get frozen.

Will they come back next year even if it snows or really frosty?
I know there are no guarantees

Chives will definitely come back, they are perennial. Parsley is biennial, so will go to seed next year

I've got a pot of chives that's been sat out on the patio for about 3 years now (really must split it in the spring!) and coped very well under the snow the last two winters.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
