I have some furry spots on the bottom half of my bay bush (images attached) and I am not sure if its bad and if so what I can do to remove it. Can anyone help please?
That looks like patches of scale insect to me - use an old scrubbing brush and some washing up liquid on it, see if it comes off. I think it weakens the plant but unlikely to kill.
Thanks Jeanied. The bush seems to be really healthy bar the bottom half of the trunk with the fuzz so I'll do a bit of scrubbing and then polish up with some vinegar mix as obeary suggests. Thanks for your additional suggestions
